The Continuing Education Calendar is printed semi-annually and is distributed in early August and again in January. Continuing Education calendars are distributed city-wide in our local papers but are usually available a few weeks prior to distribution.
If you are interested in receiving a course calendar prior to distribution, call us at (250) 561-5846 or email continuinged@cnc.bc.ca with your request.
If supplies or textbooks are required, you will be notified when you register for your program. Most textbooks required for programs are available at the college bookstore unless otherwise stated.
A full refund will be given if a student withdraws from a course/program one or more days prior to the advertised course registration deadline.
Non-attendance does not constitute a formal withdrawal. Refunds will take approximately three to four weeks to process.
No refund of fees will be given if a student cancels on or after the advertised course registration deadline.
An invigilated exam is an exam that is overseen by an impartial individual (called an invigilator or proctor) who monitors or supervises a student while they take an exam. The invigilator/proctor ensures the security and integrity of the exam process.

Letters of Successful Completion may be granted for educational pursuits which have not been reviewed by the Education Council. The minimum period of studies is 6 hours, and there is a formal evaluation of participants.
Awards of Participation may be granted for educational pursuits which have not been reviewed by the Education Council. There is no minimum period of studies established, and there is no formal evaluation of participants.
Citations are official College qualifications awarded in recognition of the successful completion of studies which last between six hours and five months. Citations incorporate an evaluation of the participant and, where appropriate in partnership arrangements, identify the partner. Citations are granted only for those programs which have been approved by Education Council.
Certificates are official College qualifications awarded in recognition of the successful completion of studies which last between five months and one year. Certificates incorporate an evaluation of the participant and are only granted for programs which have been approved by the Education Council.
