Trades Programs
  • Room offers for Trades programs that start mid-term or are 14 weeks or less are handled on a case-by-case basis per room availability.

Lengths of Stay

Accepted applicants are permitted to stay in Campus Housing for a maximum of a year before needing to reapply as a return student. In cases where students need to extend their stay for special program dates, weekly rates will apply.

Stay per Week

Sunday to Saturday for 1-14 weeks
Best for:

  • Trades students
  • Programs that begin earlier or extend beyond regular term dates

Stay per Term

  • September to December (Fall term)
  • January to April (Spring term)
  • Maximum of 16 weeks
  • Can apply to extend to “Stay per Academic Year”

Stay per Academic Year

From September to April (34 weeks)

  • Keep your room through the December break between semesters
  • Secures the same room for both terms

Application Criteria

Main Campus Housing Priority List

Priority 1

(Students who apply by the application deadline)

  1. Campus Housing Community Advisors (maximum 5 per academic year) who have been selected as successful candidates and issued a Letter of Expectation.
  2. Indigenous students enrolled full-time, former youth in care, and students with support needs (not limited to first-year students).
  3. First-year CNC students registered full-time with an out-of-town address

Priority 2

(Returning students in good standing and with no serious Campus Housing policy violations on their file)

  1. Full-time Indigenous students, former youth in care, and students with support needs.
  2. Registered full-time domestic or international students with return privileges.

Priority 3

(First-year students who do not apply by the application deadline)

  1. Full-time Indigenous students, former youth in care, and students with support needs (not limited to first-year students).
  2. First-year CNC students registered full-time with an out-of-town address.

Priority 4

(Additional Eligible Applicants) 

  1. Registered full-time CNC students with a local address.
