Who is Eligible for TekX?

TekX is open to students entering Grades 11 and 12 who meet the following requirements:

    1. From School District 57 (Prince George) or Cedars Christian School 

    2. English Language Arts 10 (Minimum “C”) or equivalent

    3. Workplace Mathematics 10 (Minimum “C”) or equivalent

    4. Recommended by their high school counsellor to participate

How to apply

Step 1: Complete the Technology Exploration (TekX) Dual Credit Program Application Package (below).
Step 2: The high school counsellor will submit your completed application package on your behalf to ctc@cnc.bc.ca

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, as a TekX student you will be able to access all of the student services that are available at CNC. View the Student Resource Guide to learn all of the services available to you, including how to access them.  

Head to the Office of the Registrar to get your student ID card. 

Once you get your student ID, stop by the Student’s Union office (room 1-303) with your student ID to receive your u-pass sticker.  

Parking for students is available in designated parking lots that can be found on the south and west side of the main campus and in front of the Brinks building.  

Pay parking is in effect at the College of New Caledonia's Prince George campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All vehicles parked within the College parking areas must display a valid parking permit, have e-permit or have registered their plates with the meters.  

You can pay using the meters near the front entrance and west entrance, or use the HangTag mobile app.  

CNC houses the Aboriginal Resource Centre (ARC) which is on the traditional unceded territory of the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation. We acknowledge their graciousness for welcoming knowledge-seekers to their territory. There is a Cultural Advisor, Aboriginal Academic Advisor, Aboriginal Future Student Advisor, and liaisons available to provide information and support before and after you become a CNC student and will help you achieve your educational goals. CNC strives to be inclusive and equitable, embrace diversity and foster respectful relationships, and provide culturally safe services and facilities to Aboriginal students and communities. The Aboriginal Resource Centre (ARC) can be reached at 250-562-2131 ext. 5488. 

As a dual credit student, you must meet with the CNC Accessibility Advisor to discuss accessibility needs. CNC will work to ensure a smooth transition of accommodation measures previously in place at your high school.

Our Wellness Coach can include working on stress, time management and coping skills. The Wellness Coach can also provide students with support and information related to CNC policies and procedures. You can book an appointment with our Wellness Coach by phoning 250-561-5818. If you do not have a family doctor, or if you require non-urgent care, our nurse practitioner or doctor is available to see you in our Health and Wellness Centre. A mental health counsellor is also available for appointments from Monday to Friday. CNC’s Health and Wellness webpage has information on all the resources available to students.

Moodle is the learning management system used at CNC.  

How do I log in to Moodle?  

  • Using your CNC Account Information, you can log in to Moodle by either:  

  • Visiting the CNC homepage and selecting LOGIN in the top right corner. Moodle will appear on the drop-down list.  

  • Moodle is also available through the myCNC Information Hub. Click on the main menu button, then click on the resources drop-down list and select Moodle.  

  • Who can I ask for help with Moodle? 

  • Your instructor is your main contact when you have a Moodle question. If you cannot reach your instructor, contact the Centre for Teaching and Learning (ctl@cnc.bc.ca).
